Privacy Policy — Buyka

Buyka is a browser and a shopping workspace. We respect your privacy and collect only what is needed for features you explicitly enable.
1) What Buyka stores on your device
Buyka stores data locally so you can continue shopping without tab chaos:
- your purchases (contexts) and tabs inside them
- Favorites (saved pages) and favorites screenshots
- saved prices (when they can be detected) and price-change marks
- app settings (language, country, privacy, etc.)
Buyka does not send your browsing history or page content to our servers by default.
2) Coupons and partner links (optional, only if enabled)
Coupons work only when you enable them in Settings (opt-in).
Buyka may request coupons for the current store from an external coupons service.
This request may include store domain and/or current page URL.
As with any web service, network metadata (for example IP) may be technically processed for delivery, abuse protection, and diagnostics.
If you use "Apply coupon" or a partner link, redirect/cookie mechanisms may be used by partner networks or stores. You can disable coupons anytime in Settings.
3) Perplexity: reviews, compare, and try cheaper
These features open Perplexity in a new tab with a prepared query:
- Reviews (Perplexity)
- Help me choose (Perplexity)
- Try to find cheaper (Perplexity)
The query may include:
- page title and/or URL
- for compare: multiple URLs
- for cheaper search: current price, if known
Buyka does not read or store Perplexity answers. You interact directly with Perplexity under its own policies.
4) Anonymous analytics (PostHog) — optional, opt-in only
The Allow anonymous analytics toggle is OFF by default. If you enable it, Buyka sends anonymous product-usage events to help improve the app.
Buyka creates a random anonymous analytics_id and stores it locally.
Events are sent with this identifier, not your name or account.
What may be collected (examples):
- app opened, welcome/demo completed
- purchase created/switched
- favorite added/removed
- Perplexity actions (reviews/compare/try cheaper)
- coupons enabled/disabled
- coupons popup opened and coupon activated
What is not collected in analytics:
- browsing history
- full visited URLs/domains
- product titles or your notes
- search queries or prompts
When you disable anonymous analytics, Buyka stops sending events and clears local analytics_id.
5) Crash and error diagnostics (Sentry)
To improve stability, Buyka may send critical crash/error reports to Sentry. Reports may include:
- technical error details (stack trace)
- app version and platform type
We scrub reports to avoid sending sensitive data (for example page content or user-entered text).
6) Your control:
- Enable or disable coupons and partner links in Settings.
- Enable or disable anonymous analytics in Settings.
7) Policy updates
We may update this policy when functionality changes. The current version is always available on this page.
